Solstice Symposium 2024
Classical Guitar
June 20th – 24th, 2024

 

With private lessons, master classes, concerts and receptions available to all registered participants, Solstice Symposium 2024 offers expert instruction and performances by master guitarists René Izquierdo, Julia Trintschuk, Jason Vieaux, Andrew Wilder, and Andrew Zohn.

Solstice Symposium takes place over five days at Candlewood Farm in Higganum, Connecticut, and concludes with the Participants’ Concert in the Captain John Smith Barn.

On Thursday, June 20th at 3 p.m., a special presentation and performance of Music of the Andes will be given by the Alturas Duo (Scott Hill, guitar & Carlos Boltes, charango). On Friday, June 21st at 3 p.m., noted Connecticut historian James T. Powers will speak about Native American life on the lower Connecticut River Valley. These two presentations are free and open to the public.

CFAF welcomes guitar enthusiasts of all skill levels to register for participation.

June 20 - Thursday (day + evening)
June 21 - Friday (day + evening)
June 22 - Saturday (day + evening)
June 23 - Sunday (morning + afternoon)
June 24 - Monday (morning + afternoon)

Registration Fee for Participants
$300.00 per person (non-refundable). This full registration includes: master classes, private lessons, invitations to all four June Concerts and receptions, and an invitation to perform in the Participants' Concert (June 24th). As part of your Registration Fee, lunch and dinner is provided.

To participate, your registration with payment is expected in advance of the Symposium dates.
